50 Hours of Johnny Miller
NBC will be providing 50 hours of coverage for the upcoming Presidents Cup. Johnny Miller should be in rare form.
"The Presidents Cup is one of golf's preeminent events and I'm pleased that we're able to service the golf fan by utilizing multiple assets in our portfolio -- Golf Channel for live coverage and NBC for comprehensive coverage on the weekend," said Mark Lazarus, Chairman, NBC Sports Group.

| Reason to celebrate: The Tour Championship, the Fed Ex Cup, 11.4 million dollars, and a selection to the U.S. team. |
Haas, coming off his huge win Sunday at The Tour Championship in combination with winning the Fed Ex Cup had to put him over the top for the final pick. It just wouldn't have made sense for Couples not to select him after his performance.
As for Norman, since the Cup will be played in Australia, it made sense for him to add two more Aussies, joining Adam Scott and Jason Day down under.
The Presidents Cup week is set to begin November 14th in Melbourne.
Tiger has a new bag man
Joe LaCava, longtime caddie for Fred Couples, has been hired by Tiger Woods. LaCava had recently been working for Dustin Johnson, and the move supposedly came as a shock.
Either way, it's a done deal, and the tandem will begin working together at the Frys.com Open in early October.
The absolute worst idea I've ever heard
Brandel Chamblee wants to change the Fed Ex Cup Playoffs. He suggests having 16 cities draft 9 players each and then having the teams play each other over 4 weeks, eventually determining the winning team, or Fed Ex Cup champion.
I don't even have words to describe how terrible this idea is. This is golf, not football.

The Shark latest to blast Tiger
Greg Norman, the guy with 2 majors, has predicted Tiger Woods, the guy with 14 majors, will not be able to return to form.
"Now there are so many distractions, and people are looking for things that are wrong with Tiger now, so he's got to deal with that on a day-to-day basis, like every other mortal has to do, right?" Norman continued. "In our lives, in our business, we all have to be responsible for our actions. It's very hard for him to have that focus. And the more he shuts people off, the worse it gets."
Norman would like the chance to sit and talk with Tiger to provide advice. Stay by the phone Greg. The call should be coming any year now.
Should be an interesting meeting at the Presidents Cup in November.
Irate Mom sues Haney
Amusing story. Irate golf mom sues Hank Haney for breaking advertised promises and only giving 7 minutes of lessons to her son.

Buzzkill: Tournament cancelled due to 70,000 bees
It's annoying enough when gnats get in your face while trying to play golf. How about 70,000 bees? A college tournament in Texas had to be cancelled due to a monster beehive behind the 18th green. Good call.
